March 1, 2016:
2016 Commodore’s Ball
Take off your scuba equipment, the water-themed Ball is over! This year’s event thrown by our own Commodore Heather Ersts was a terrific success. The attendance was great and those in attendance danced the night away after feasting on Chef Henry’s tasty morsels as well as a fresh sushi bar prepared by authentic sushi chefs.
Keep your eyes peeled for all the great photos of the event on the EYC website and for those who couldn’t attend … you missed a great party but we will see you next year!
All of our 2016 tenants are in place at this point and I would like to remind you that we still have both wet and dry slips available. If you need to store a boat up to 30 feet in length EYC has a home for you!
Please contact Bill Kocan or the marina chairperson for further information and annual rates.
Parking stickers and directory
All EYC members should have received their 2016 directory, parking sticker and member card sticker in the mail. Please don’t forget to affix your sticker to the front driver’s side lower left window. Removal of unauthorized vehicles will be more aggressive this month and we don’t want to inadvertently tow a member who has a sticker sitting on the kitchen table.
March is another great month for family fun at EYC! Kids’ First Fridays is another family event picking up a lot of steam here at EYC thanks to the hard working volunteers on the relatively new Family Committee. If you have kids and want to help shape EYC into a family-friendly environment we urge you to join the committee and lend your perspective and creativity.
Of course the House Committee won’t be outdone as they host another fun St. Patrick’s Day celebration with the always entertaining step dancers. These young ladies are the absolute cutest and it is a terrific way to get into the Irish spirit!
EYC stands for FUN
If you haven’t discovered the fun of Thursday Trivia Night you are missing out. Many loyal trivia masters have discovered the weekly fun of Trivia Night with their friends. There is always room for more, but make your reservations early as this event packs the dining room early.
In addition to trivia you have got to come down for a casual Sunday afternoon of board games. Bring your favorite game or come jump into a game in action. There is something for everyone!
