Frostbite slips

OK, I agree it is a little early to be thinking about Frostbiting but it’s never too early to reserve a slip for the season. EYC has short term leases available in our slips for those individuals who may wish to take advantage of racing out of EYC. Contact me for rates and availability and reserve your slip now.

Private Event Discounts through September

It may be hot outside but it is never too early to begin planning for the holiday season! For those who like to plan ahead we are offering a great incentive to hold your business or personal holiday party here at EYC. All members who book a private event in September will receive a 25% discount on the facility fee for use of any available event space in November and December 2016.

And if that were not enough EYC is also waiving the entire facility fee for confirmed bookings made in September for daytime events in the lower level conference room during the months of November, January or February with a minimum $500 food and beverage spend. So whether it is an office outing, a holiday party or your kid’s birthday party celebration we have a space for you!

These discounts equate to hundreds and even potentially thousands of dollars in savings for parties booked in September so act now while spaces are still available. Rhumb Line Menu

The House Committee has been hard at work developing ideas for new menus at EYC. Although the farm to table ala cart menu has year over year been increasing sales and is enjoyed by many of our members it was determined that perhaps it was not addressing some of our membership needs. So in order to reach out to those members who didn’t feel the existing menu offered the value they enjoy or perhaps farm fresh ingredients were not their highest priority, the concept of the Rhumb Line Menu was developed. These are simple items such as meatloaf, chicken tenders, mussels, or a chicken salad sandwich offered with value in mind.

We hope that this menu will engage yet another portion of our membership and address what the committee felt was an important membership request. We encourage all of our members to provide feedback on the in house comment cards and to also look out for the new ways that we will be soliciting member feedback which should be available soon. As always the house committee and EYC management welcome your opinions and hope you enjoy the recent additions as we continually try to address member preferences.

Child Safety

EYC loves families! The club has done many great things this year to welcome families to the club and it is our goal to continue to enhance the offerings so that parents and their kids feel welcome and safe. Toward that end, we ask that children are never left unsupervised on or near the docks. We also request that any children on the docks have proper safety gear such as pfds and shoes on at all times to prevent injury. The thought of a child being injured or worse is unbearable to consider and could also put the club in harm’s way from a liability standpoint. Therefore, we look to all members to help prevent any potential accidents. I thank you all in advance for the effort and attention to our most vulnerable members.
