November 1, 2016: The traditional sailing season is drawing to a close but that doesn’t mean there isn’t sailing for the die-hard amongst us. Frostbites will be starting in no time so sign up now and enjoy the experience of winter sailing. If you wish to Frostbite and keep your boat at the club also know that we offer deeply reduced rates for the season. Simply send me an email with your request and I would be happy to assist.
2016 Annual Meeting
Please clear your calendars to attend the EYC Annual Meeting when we vote in the incoming Board as well as hear updates from all of the club’s committees. This year’s meeting will be held on Saturday, November 12, at the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel (formerly the Marriott) at 11 a.m.
Come early to hear presentations from the EYC Foundation as well as the newly formed Family Committee and Green Team.
Please be advised that the marina will undergo its annual winterization during the first week of November. Please plan appropriately and feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Did You Opt In?
You may have seen the notices in the club or in the weekly Blast to opt in to receive your Annual Meeting materials electronically. Those who took the time to send back their slips to opt in saved the club a nice “chunk of change” while simultaneously helping green the planet and support the newly formed EYC Green Committee. Thanks very much and we hope that next year we get even more members to contribute to helping keep dues low and the planet green!
EYC’s unique and rich history is one that should definitely be celebrated. It’s that time of year again when we thank our founding members and all of the past commodores who have contributed so much to making our amazing club what it is today. Join all your EYC friends as we celebrate in the way we have become accustomed ... with a Mt. Gay and a great bite to eat at the Founders Day Party.
Tickets are $15 and include a terrific menu and a complimentary drink. Dress is casual and we ask that you please purchase your tickets in advance so our chefs can be properly prepared. See you there!
