The Manager's Desk
September 1, 2016:
OK, I agree it is a little early to be thinking about Frostbiting but it’s never too early to reserve a slip for the season. EYC has short term leases available in our slips for those individuals who may wish to take advantage of racing out of EYC. Contact me for rates and availability and reserve your slip now.
Private Event Discounts through September
It may be hot outside but it is never too early to begin planning for the holiday season! For those who like to plan ahead we are offering a great incentive to hold your business or personal holiday party here at EYC. All members who book a private event in September will receive a 25% discount on the facility fee for use of any available event space in November and December 2016.

August 1, 2016: What a terrific summer this is becoming! Last month we had great weather for our Boomerang event, Standup Paddleboard Challenge and of course the hugely successful Latitude Adjustment Party. Once again we have solidified that EYC knows how to throw a terrific race event and an even better party afterwards! The attendance was terrific at all of those events and we were able to help support the EYC Foundation as well as throw some money into the coffers.
August is always a slightly less active month than the Spring and early Summer months but that translates to more room to enjoy the club. Of course the CRAB Regatta (8/20) and the Magothy River Cruise (8/13) will be fun events in August, but many of our members take time off in August to vacation which means the deck and dining rooms aren’t as full as those busy months. Therefore, it’s a terrific time to take advantage of the a la cart offerings at the club. All of our regular weekly specials like Pub Night, Prime Rib Night, Burger Night and many more will be available all month so we look forward to seeing you soon.
June 1, 2016: One of the club’s busiest months of the year is now behind us but the summer season is just beginning! The club is alive with activity this time of the year and of course the outside deck overlooking the water is the perfect place to be to enjoy the start of another great EYC boating season.
Keep an eye out for all of the terrific House Committee events planned for June. Of course June means that EYC will once again play host to the Leukemia Cup on the 4th. The club is attempting to set a new record for donations so please come down and enjoy a cold rum drink and enjoy the evening while supporting the greater good.
July 1, 2016: It certainly feels like summer in Annapolis. This time of year always reminds me of why I enjoy living in such a wonderful town. The waters are full with people enjoying their boats, downtown streets are bustling with shoppers with ice cream cones in hand and the EYC deck is in full swing with members enjoying a cold cocktail, a terrific bite to eat and a great view.
July is packed with fun things for club members of all ages. As if enjoying the best view in Annapolis weren’t enough, the month starts off with a bang (literally) with the July 4th celebration, followed by the Chesapeake Stand Up Paddleboard Challenge, the newly revamped Boomerang race, St. Michaels cruise, powerboat classes, Junior sailing and the list goes on and on.

Spring and Summer Reminders
As the active club season is already upon us I thought I would take a moment to remind members of some important club information that will help keep both our members and the club safe.
- Alcohol purchased at the club may not be taken off premise or onto the docks or private boats. Members may take their cocktails onto the waterfront lawn or sailing yard however. Conversely members and their guests may consume their own alcoholic beverages (purchased elsewhere) on their boats while docked in the marina but it may not be brought onto the clubs property.
