November 4 Annual Meeting Updates

OPT-IN Now for Electronic Delivery of Meeting Notice Package:

SAVE MONEY, SAVE THE PLANET! OPT-IN BY OCTOBER 16

With just one minute of your time, you can help EYC save money while also helping the environment. All you need to do is “OPT-IN” by October 16 to receive your annual meeting notice package electronically, instead of receiving a hard copy by U.S. mail. The Membership voted for a Bylaws change at the 2015 Annual Meeting, allowing electronic delivery of the package, at member’s option. Here’s how this helps EYC and our Members:

  • Eliminates costs of $3,000 to $4,000 for printing and mailing the 30-page Annual Meeting packages
  • Reduces workload on office staff and volunteers
  • Reduces costs and effort needed to re-mail packages due to incorrect mailing addresses
  • Helps the Club’s Green initiatives by reducing paper consumption
  • Speeds up delivery, giving Members more time to review documents before the meeting

Help your club today – more OPT-IN participants means more savings! The OPT-IN form is available on the member website or at the front door bulletin board. Just complete the form electronically by clicking below, or fill out the paper version (email a scan or photo of the form to the office, or drop the form in the mailbox next to the office door). Less than one minute of your time really will make a difference, so please OPT-IN BEFORE OCTOBER 16.

ADDRESS CHANGES: To eliminate unnecessary returns, please let the office know right away of any changes in your email or residence address.

PROXY FORMS: Heading south this year, or otherwise unable to attend this year’s meeting? You may temporarily assign your voting right to your Spouse or another Voting Member by completing the 2017 Proxy Form, available online or at the front door bulletin board. Each Spouse or Voting Member may vote only one proxy, so be sure that you talk with your proxy before submitting the form. Your proxy should bring it to the meeting at the Annapolis Maritime Museum on November 4.

DEADLINES: Any petitions or Bylaws changes must be submitted to the Keeper of the Log by October 15. The Annual Meeting Package must be mailed and/or distributed electronically by November 2.
