February 10, 2012:  Well it's about time!!!!

After months of frustrating delays, meetings, phone calls, more meetings, more delays we finally have building permits. All it took was Rear Commodore Schaller calling in every favor owed to him and setting up a meeting with the Mayor and City Manager with him and Vice Commodore Malkin. They must have really turned on the charm because all of our permits were released late this afternoon. We have miles and miles to go but we are finally at the starting line.

We should start seeing demo work begin next week. The mechanics will be disconnecting the Air Conditioning units as well as the refrigeration units and recovering the refrigerant. Demo crews will be taking out walls, windows, removing the deck. This is it! This is what we have been work towards for the last 6 years. Watch the web cam and enjoy the show.

Please note that Brown Construction will need to use the parking lot to stage material so plan to start parking across the street as we will need to reserve the spots near the trailers for those members who need to access the Club using the ramps as well as the staff who are closing up at night.
