Junior Fleet News

Volunteers Needed! Junior Fleet is need of knowledgeable volunteers. Paddleboard Use. The Jr. Fleet has 6 paddleboards for use. Free to members and $10 for guests. Check out with office in advance. PFDs must be worn at all times on an EYC board. Paddleboards are not available during Junior Fleet class hours.

Get your powerboat certifications! 2015 US Powerboating signups available.  Only 2 Safe Powerboat Handling classes remain for the season August 29-30 and September 12-13, Don't wait to sign up!

Beginner Learn-to-Sail

Our Adult Sailing Program Learn-to-Sail s taught in the CFJ and limited to 2 students per boat. Class is open to members and nonmembers ages 16 and up. This 6-week evening class focuses on fundamental small boat sailing skills including terminology, rigging and de-rigging, equipment stowage and care, personal safety, knots, safety on the dock and on the water, points of sail, small boat handling, right-of-way rules, capsize and man overboard procedures, and much more. Beginner course is offered on Wednesday night for 6 Evenings: 6 pm - Sundown. Cost: $195, includes textbook. Nonmembers include a $65 registration fee.  Dates: July 1 - August 5.

Note: NOT recommended for Adults over 6’ 2” and 220lbs.

Intermediate Learn to Race - Cancelled due to low signups

This course is recommended for adults with previous sailing experience. In this class we quickly move beyond the basics and focus on more advanced boat handling techniques and beginner racing in a small class setting. Intermediate course is offered on 6 Sundays: 1 - 4pm. Cost: $195, includes textbook. Nonmembers include a $65 registration fee. Dates: June 28- August 9 - No class July 5

Private Lessons
