Water Quality Information
The Green Team has established a robust water-quality monitoring program for routine testing of water quality in and around the marina. Our goals are to ensure that EYC’s water is safe for recreation, educate and reinforce STEM learning with real-world applications, and contribute to the Annapolis community’s efforts to monitor and restore water quality. As part of this program, the Green Team participates in a local water quality monitoring program for routine testing of water quality in and around EYC’s marina. During the summer, the Junior Fleet helps the Green Team perform the watering monitoring.

Clean Marina Designation
EYC is a certified Clean Marina. We are proud that EYC was the first yacht club in Maryland to receive a Clean Marina certification.
The Maryland Clean Marina Initiative recognizes and promotes marinas, boatyards and yacht clubs of any size that meet legal requirements and voluntarily adopt pollution prevention practices. The department has certified nearly 25 percent of Maryland’s estimated 600 marinas as Clean Marinas or Clean Marina Partners, and it aims to continue increasing this number moving forward. Boaters are encouraged to patronize certified Clean Marinas and to adopt clean boating habits..
