This after-race awards and fund raising party complements the annual Maryland Cures Cancer Charity Regatta which is a CBYRA sanctioned event. All net proceeds will benefit the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center (UMGCCC), showcasing the Chesapeake sailing community's unwavering support for cancer research at our local Maryland healthcare facility. Notably, this center has successfully treated our world-renowned local sailor Gary Jobson.
