The Eastport Yacht Club offers sailing and powerboating classes for kids 6 to 15 years and adults 16 and up. All classes are taught by US Sailing/Powerboating certified instructors with First Aid and CPR training, and subject to background checks. Our programs focus on safety and learning with an emphasis on FUN for beginners through advanced. The EYC Learn-to-Boat program uses Blue Dragon Prams, Sunfish, FJs, and J-22s for sailing and the power boat program uses Boston Whalers.

We also utilize our fleet of paddleboards and kayaks to expand the fun. The instructional approach used in our programs conforms with the American National Standards for on-water, skills-based instruction in entry-level recreational boat operation.

In addition to our national certifications we are also a certified camp with the State of Maryland. At Eastport Yacht club our mission to is provide the safety environment for all campers and we strive to adhere to the highest standards both at local, state, and national levels.
