The Eastport Yacht Club has established a sound reputation on the Bay as a ‘do something’ Club. Our heritage and pedigree come from the everyday people and workers of Annapolis and Eastport.

Members share camaraderie and great times, on and off the water, with racing, cruising, social events, and community involvement. Current members will tell you how satisfying it is to be a part of a diverse group of friends. We’re a family – bonded by common interest and a love of the water. Our Clubhouse offers the membership a million-dollar view: the historic Annapolis skyline, Severn River, Naval Academy, Bay Bridge, Eastern Shore, and the Chesapeake Bay. The EYC calendar is full of social activities and worthwhile, high visibility events. Most are associated with fun on the water, yet not one requires the ownership of a boat or yacht. It has been said we are a social club with a boating problem. Perhaps best known of the club’s signature events is the annual EYC Lights Parade, a glittering holiday spectacle on the water drawing thousands of viewers from the greater metropolitan region and beyond.

EYC Energy and Diversity

Many of our members spend considerable time on the water, either at work or play, but few are mistaken for the gold-button-blue-blazer crowd. The real energy of Eastport Yacht Club lies in the diversity and common interests of the membership. Should you be at the Club on any Friday evening you’ll likely encounter a crowd of individuals who are anything but stereotypical yacht club types. You may meet a maritime student, a female diesel mechanic, a yacht designer or surveyor, perhaps a nurse, broker, or any number of professionals and freelancers socializing together. Membership in EYC is not predicated on bloodlines, gender, ethnicity, or financial depth at mean low funding. In fact, we are quite reasonable. If you’re aged 35 or under, the Junior/Associate Membership Categories make joining most economical. According to our by-laws “…any human being of good character and reputation, shall be eligible for membership.”
