Matt Rutherford, First Solo Americas Circumnavigator.
Director & Expedition Leader – Ocean Research Project;
To make ocean research more affordable, together with scientist Nicole Trenholm, Matt completed the Atlantic Garbage patch expedition in 2013, collecting data at 40 mid-Atlantic survey sites for toxicity. By creating Ocean Research Project, Matt is educating people about marine issues & giving back to the earth's oceans.
